COA and The Children’s Clinic have partnered to bring a twice weekly free medical clinic to the East Village Arts District! The mobile medical unit serves anyone in need – seniors, homeless people, low-income families, and other individuals without access to regular healthcare. The clinic makes it possible for at-risk individuals to get and refill prescriptions, do lab tests, and receive follow-up care, things which an emergency room just cannot provide.
The free clinic is at the corner of Third Street and Linden Avenue from 8 am-4 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. No appointment necessary.
The Children’s Clinic was founded in 1939 by a group of physicians and community leaders who recognized the importance of access to healthcare for all children, particularly those who are from low income families and who a
re at risk for health problems. Since then, TCC has grown to provide daily full service health care with primary care services for children, adolescents and adults.
We are so grateful for community partners like The Children’s Clinic for helping us improve the lives of vulnerable individuals in downtown Long Beach. For more information, please call 562.432.1440.
