COA READERS DIGEST

growing concerns for the welfare of the homeless. They need help.

Not only has homelessness increased by 62% in the past two years, but most of them are also experiencing first-time homelessness. The majority spend their days searching for basic essentials, trying to survive from one day to the next. This struggle may take away their hope for a brighter future of sustainability and independence. They suffer from food insecurity, malnutrition, and hope. Our neighbors need relief.

You can change this. You have the power to make an immediate impact! Your contribution, right now, will help with providing crucial necessities for their survival and quest for independence:

  • Water station

  • Foodbank - 5 days a week (Senior Food Bank on Wednesdays)

  • Prepared meals (breakfast 7 days a week, Dinner 5 days a week (weekly Saturday lunch and lunch last Sunday of the month)

  • Clothing

  • Socks, shoes

  • Blankets

  • Hygiene kits,

  • Diapers (adult and infant)

  • and other essentials

With our growing number of people turning to us for assistance, we can only continue providing for them with your help. Provide a gift to the low-income and houseless HERE.

Health care in action partners with COA

Health Care in Action is a street medicine organization that provides medical and

social service care to those experiencing homelessness. Homeless individuals are not typically able to see a Physician in a brick-and-mortar office, so Health Care in Action has a moving medical exam room (a van) and drives out to the patients where they are. Christian Outreach in Action's partnership with Health Care in Action has provided rapid turnaround for those in need, and hand-in-hand we're able to support the community.

Thank you for saving our truck!

Thank you so much for your generous donation to our GOFUNDME to help get our truck back on the road. As some of you know, our truck was broken into on July 4th. They completely damaged the door locks, dashboard, and ignition switch while trying (but not succeeding) to steal it.

Your concern for our repair fees went above and beyond, and we were able to reach our goal. Thanks to your continued support, we are now able to continue picking up the many pallets of food (and other items) daily, providing our 5-day-a-week food bank and daily meals (amongst other essential services) to our neighbors in need.
